Requirements:
The ideal candidates should be current communications, broadcasting, marketing, or mass media majors looking to gain valuable promotional/programming/event marketing experience in the radio industry.

  • Internships require an applicant to be receiving academic credit for the internship — it is the applicant's responsibility to set up the internship with the school.
  • All positions are unpaid, and WAXQ-FM does not provide for transportation reimbursement costs.

PROMOTIONS

Tasks:
  • Assist the Q104.3 promotional street team with various events
  • Set-up, management and tear-down of events
  • Interaction with listeners and clients
  • Travel throughout the tri-state area
  • Assist in live broadcast set-up and tear-down
  • Data entry
  • Support all other promotional functions within the department

Candidates must:
  • Receive credit or supply a letter indicating support from an accredited educational institution.
  • Have a flexible schedule to work various events at different locations and at different times
  • Be detail oriented and organized
  • Have great communication skills because job requires interaction with clients and entertaining listeners.
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Be able to lift up to 20 lbs.

PR
The internship offers a rare behind-the-scenes opportunity to learn about the internal and external communications of Clear Channel Radio New York. Public Relations interns will be responsible for paste-ups, clip reports, and calendar announcements for station events.

NOTE: College students who have already taken classes in PR and are currently enrolled in Junior or Senior years ONLY!
